A Humanist Landing on K Street

The Humanists of West Suburban Chicagoland is proud to announce its premier lecture for the 2006-07 year with guest speaker, Lori Lipman Brown, the director of the Secular Coalition for America, a lobbying organization based in Washington DC, addressing the interest and concerns of American atheists, humanists and freethinkers. The American Humanist Association is one of its seven member groups. She will be speaking about the current issues and problems, the progress achieved during her first year and the plans for the future. Ms Brown served as Nevada State Senator from 1992 to 1994 and has received honors from the ACLU and the National Association of Social Workers. She has been a frequent political commentator on television and radio and a columnist in a variety of print media. A former private practice lawyer, she also served on the faculty of the University of Phoenix.
